How Camden eats an Oreo cookie

OK, I really debated posting this video because I am not sure if it is even half as cute and funny to anyone else as it is to his Mom here!  It sure gave me a good laugh though (as unfortunately you will hear a lot)!  You can't plan these things so sometimes it is so fun to catch their cute interactions on film. Love this little boy.  If you don't get a kick out of it, your little ones might enjoy it. :) The last minute is the best. Thanks for watching.

Carrie-4th Row-Baby!

Gotta give major props to the hubby for surprising me with some sweet 4th row tickets to Carrie Underwood's concert! I was so excited I could barely handle it.  Unfortunately Dave could not go, so I took one of my good friends and possibly the biggest Carrie fan I know, Hope, with me.  We had a blast getting there early and trying to get backstage passes :), rocking to the opening band, which I loved, "Little Big Town" (their album is now on my Christmas list :), and meeting everyone around us.  It was a party, seriously so fun. I have never sat that up close at a concert before and it was AMAZING!  (Yes, that is a Utah word, I just learned, but in being honest, I must confess-I do use it a lot!)  She was so good and her voice was so clear and beautiful. Not to mention she is so beautiful!  Love her style and class and cute personality.  I think she had about 7 different 'sparkly' microphones, and even the little patch on her back pocket for her mic matched every fabric she wore.  Wow!  So fun to see.  Here are some pics and the video clips I got...I must just give a disclaimer and share that of course the sound does not come out even a portion as great as it did in person. You have to remember I had drunk people singing all around me, as loud as they could! So the movie is just a fun memory for the feel of it. :) I'm sure you knew that.

Halloween Hooplah!

I absolutely LOVE this time of year! The only problem is that it just goes by too fast! I feel like we are constantly running to and planning for the next fun thing that it just practically zips right by me! With that said, we have enjoyed every minute of Fall 2008!  I am so glad Camden didn't get sick of his pirate costume as he got to wear it, oh, 5 times! He would even oblige us with the cutest, but certainly tough :)  "Argh, Matey".  Here are some of the month's highlights (since that is about as frequent as I am managing to post these days!) :

Daddy is usually the one to make the breakfasts in our family.  He loved surprising us with these pumpkin and skull pancakes that Camden loved! Thanks for the molds, Grandma!

There may have not been many things Camden loved this Fall more than the big bounce houses and blow-up slides at the Scarecrow Festival at Thanksgiving Point.  My advice, if you have young kids, Scarecrow Festival beats Cornbelly's any day of the year! However, it is only 3 days long so make sure to go next year! We had such a blast! Camden went on the slides for at least a half hour, and even mastered the climb and slide by himself!! Isn't it great being 2?

Our sweet sister-in-law Kim throws a great big Halloween party every year for her neighborhood.  It was so fun seeing Camden get out of the car and immediately start having sword-jedi fights with his cousin, Parker. He loves them so much and always says their names in his prayers. :)

So of the many holidays my mom gets really into, Halloween is definitely one of them! This year, we decided to celebrate the weekend before so we could all be there and not rushed. Crazy as it was, our ENTIRE family was in town! This is rare and we had a great time doing all sorts of ghoulish things with the kids.  Due to our costumes, our family got to guard the mighty Pirate Treasure, quite a treat!

Dave's cousins put on the "Stringtown Railroad"...you should check it out! They have a huge life-size train that goes around an entire block and they go all out decorating it with all sorts of things for different holidays. This is one of Camden's favorites and I don't doubt will be one of Mackay's, too. What boy doesn't love a real choo-choo ride?

For Dave's company party the sales team dressed up as the Office Linebackers.  They did quite a sweet dance and we had a good time sharing in all of the creative costumes and disgusting looking food!  By this point I was a little sick of dressing up as a pirate and my real desire came out...I was none other than the...well I'll let you figure it out.

You guessed it, Sarah Palin.  Here with Little-Bo-Peep! Just your average day at the office. :)

Camden had so much fun really trick-or-treating this year.  Of course he Loved getting candy and Suckers were the #1 choice!  He got a kick out of our scary hand bowl and went for it again and again, laughing over and over again.  Here he is donning some sweet glasses from his little friend Carkee (Carson).

Apple Picking, anyone?

Anyone up for a little storytime in the fields?  I finally got to take my outdoor pics I have been so excited to do since Mackay arrived.  We accomplished this when he was about 4 weeks old. I really just wanted pictures of my boys, but Dave insisted we try to get some all together. So I had to rally the troops- thanks to my Mom and Brando for coming to help, all too last minute!  I hope you enjoy them as much as I do. I had so much fun! 

This first one just reminds me of the old-fashioned baseball era. Thanks to Betsy for the classic book! 

This is my absolute FAVORITE shot of the afternoon. Everything: my boy, his laugh and round face, the light, the lens blur, etc.  Love it!

Big Brother is really good at sharing.  He wanted the apple to be Baby's binky.

I must say, this is THEE shot I envisioned this whole shoot for.  Did I get what I wanted? Um, no, but it is cute nonetheless.  We sort of had to save Mackay before he "fell" off Camden's lap. Hmm. There were more apples to pick.

We love storytime at home so why not outside?

Camden couldn't be more excited about the apples if we had bribed him with 100 "guckers"!  He wanted to pick and bite them the entire time. Of course he'll have nothing to do with them at home, but here - "appol" - there was nothing better for him.

Well I can't totally say for Dave, but Camden was not posing!  This quick little glance about melted my lens right off. :) 

This was one of the shots I totally envisioned going to the field for.  Doesn't he look so peaceful?

Yeah! Finally, we were able to catch one with the four of us. Thanks to Brandon for snapping away and Grami for goofing off.

Look at my little two year old!  It's like a school picture and I can just envision that, but I am no where ready for it! What a cutie.

GQ or what?  Dave wants to know why Baby Gap hasn't called yet? :)  We're not bragging, really, but who can resist that boy?

So I must thank my behind-the-scenes helpers! Brandon, AKA "Always there when you need him," came as friend, photographer, and entertainer to Camden. I didn't realize how much I needed these two until they were there helping us!

And my sweet, beautiful Mom, we couldn't have done it without her. She always knows where I need her and somehow was just there with her open arms. Talk about best friends who come the day you call them! Thanks so much! We love you!
