Wow, it has been a long time since I have posted. I will be honest and say that I totally forgot about blogging through the holidays, and a lot of other stuff lately! Last night I desperately needed a break from boxes so I sat down, I feel like for the first time in weeks, to watch American Idol and catch up on all my friends' blogs. I loved reading everyone's and was inspired to at least post something! Am I wrong in that is seemed like most of you haven't been posting tons either? Lately I have just been too tired to do anything but go to bed at night! Last night was a break through as Mackay slept 8 hours straight for the first time! Perhaps that is the real reason I feel I can post today!I took this picture of my boys a few weeks ago. While Camden is a little poser he is in to the "Cheese" stage although I never ask for it. But they are both growing up so fast. Camden is saying all kinds of sentences, I don't know where he gets things from sometimes, but I love all of it! These aren't the most creative ones, but his most common favorites are :
"Mom, wook! Wook at me, Mom. Watch me!" about EVERYTHING!
"No, that's scary. I don't like it." There is something scary in every Disney movie and anywhere that's dark.
Carrying a bunch of things around the house, and labeling the items so happily, "I got Woody, I got Buzz, I got Mickey, I got treats, I got gum!"
"Camden's happy, Mom."
I love all of his cute mannerisms, his dancing like "hot dog hot dog hot diggity dog", how he says thank you for everything, how he comes up to me and says "hi mom" and hugs me when he knows he has done something really wrong, how he says sorry when he bumps me or does anything else, hugs and kisses me, and just is my buddy. When you ask him most things you will either get a "Oh yep!" or "Um, I don't know." I love it! He is still such a Daddy's boy and always asks where he is and what he is doing, but he has gotten to be pretty tender with his
mommy, too, which I love.
Mackay is such a well-mannered kid. He of course wants something in his hands and mouth at all times. He gets so excited about things, (translation: kicks arms and legs and reaches for everything), ate a full bowl of rice cereal the first time we tried it (AKA loves food), is a cuddler, and loves to smile. I must say I am very grateful for how reactive my boys are. You barely glance at them and their whole face lights up into a smile. They are the joy of my life and also the exhaustion. :) How do you do it with more than two? That amazes me. Maybe I can think about it someday.
Actually, I wrote that post last week and never finished it. This weekend has brought some sad news to our family with Mackay getting RSV. It started out with just a cold, but turned to wheezing in his chest by Friday night. He has had a fever for 4 days now, and has oxygen breathing treatments every 6 hours. At first he really hated them, and now it is like he knows they help and he just sits there in my arms, sometimes falling asleep. It's so sad to see your little ones so sick. He can't hold anything down and just wants to be held. But tonight he had some awesome smiles after his nap so I hope he is feeling and getting better. I guess it is really going around this year and I hope none of your kids get it. I'm not too excited that it means we have to be hermits for a little while, but I hope he gets better soon and that is most important. I am just so grateful it is something I know can and will pass. That makes it a lot easier to get through it now.
Today I am grateful for:
my healthy (ultimately), happy boys
our new little haven where we rest our heads
welcoming neighbors
good old, constant, and true friends
family and friends that have stopped by or called
warming weather
Jen's safe arrival of twins
brother, sister, and sister-in-law having baby boys :)
flashback pictures
Carson's safe surgery
our fireplace
Dave being home
Well I love you all and hope you are all well. Do you like how I use this as a mass email? It's like a big letter to you all. And, I think I am going private. If I miss any of you because I didn't think you really checked it (and I don't blame you since I hardly ever post :) then just email me if you'd like an invite. Thanks. Love you all.

Omiheck! Typed the giantest comment and I don't think it went thru... ROUND 2 I guess. :)
Just teared up at little Mackay's photo with the mask. So sorry Shan. Our little Cruzie had a MILD case (no treatments) and it was so hard. I feel for you. I was so grateful to see smiles at the end of it all. Hope he feels better soon!
That little Camden is too cute for words! Not sure how you get anything done with him around -- I would spend all day kissing those cheeks! His little personality is precious! :)
Heard you have moved... We can't lose touch! We are in Alpine and are super close if you ever feel up to hanging out. No pressure - get healthy/settled first. I need to be better at staying in touch. We miss you guys. Love you, Steph

So sad to have to do the breathing treatments. Hope it goes away soon. Can't wait to see pics of your new house. Love you!
So sorry to hear about little Mackay. We would love an invite to your blog. mikeswens@gmail.com
I had no idea that little Mackay was so sick. How are you holding up? I know it can be extra exhausting when your little ones are sick- you just feel so helpless. We will definitely keep him in our prayers.
We would love to have Camden come and play-just let me know when.
Thanks again for planning such a fun girls night- I sure miss you!
Hey add me to the list: cassidygturner@hotmail.com
Poor little guy! That picture is so sweet and so sad at the same time. The sicknesses seem to be awful this year!!! Glad he is doing well with his treatments and that he has learned to accept them.
I love that Camden does the hot diggity dog dance! So so cute!!
Yes, you are right about everyone slacking off on the blog-writing, me being the worst offender. I am trying to be better, but in reality, I usually don't post for about two months and then I do ten updates!
Sounds like you're settled into your new place. Where did you move to?
I would love an invite to your blog when you go private. I'll email you. : )
